The CBFCA has spent a considerable amount of time researching the most effective learning platform for it to offer Courses via the Internet. Given the broad geographical spread of people interested in completing the course, an online platform was considered the best way to reach all potential students within Australia and internationally.

The facilitated courses offered online by the CBFCA utilise absolute state of the art virtual classrooms which enable students to come together and discuss issues within the course with their facilitator and with their fellow students. This social and academic interaction creates the most effective method for student learning in an online environment and simulates the classroom situation of a bricks and mortar college perfectly.

The National Customs Brokers Course and the Diploma of International Freight Forwarding are both fully facilitated courses. This means that students will have a facilitator for their course who will be well skilled in online facilitation as well as a subject matter expert in the study unit. These courses with the CBFCA are not self-paced. Each study unit will have a clear timetable for classes and assessments as well as other assessable requirements. Students will be advised of this timetable and will be expected to submit work and contribute to the course in line with this timetable.
