Professional development for non-customs broker personnel
While training for persons seeking to become licensed customs brokers is vitally important to the CBFCA, there are other occupational roles within the international trade sector that are also critical to business success but which do not currently have any specific professional development opportunities available to them. The CBFCA seeks to address this through a program of professional development across the range of occupational categories, including compilers, classifiers and registration clerks.
Utilising content created for the National Customs Brokers Course as its base, the CBFCA plans to release a range of shorter learning units designed to be completed by both new industry entrants seeking knowledge in their new role and experienced staff seeking an update and recognition of their exisiting skills. More information about this exciting strategy will be forthcoming during 2012.
Professional development for licensed customs brokers
In 2012, the CBFCA is planning to provide a range of professional development sessions for licensed customs brokers to enhance the skills of practising customs brokers in key learning areas.
Stay tuned for more information.
