The CBFCA, through the College, offers a range of training and professional development for customs brokers designed to ensure that Australia's customs brokers are, and remain, amongst the most highly skilled in the World.

National Customs Brokers Course

The main course offer is the National Customs Brokers Course, a nationally recognised course of study that is approved by the Australian Customs and Border Protection Service (Customs) as the approved pre-requisite course of study for persons seeking to become licensed as customs brokers in Australia under Part XI of the Customs Act 1901.

 

Professional development for non-customs brokers

The component modules of the National Customs Brokers Course can be taken individually by persons seeking to development themselves in specific skill areas within their role. Examples could be compilers or classifiers who do not wish to become licensed customs brokers but who would like to develop their skills in tariff classification or valuation.

 

Industry forums

The CBFCA offers a range of industry forums on topics of general and specific interest to the barrier clearance sector. These are either traditional classroom sessions or may be conducted as webinars utilising the College's state-of-the-art virtual meeting room technology.
